We thought we’d bring out a glass painting Christmas special as we have released a couple of Christmas themed projects lately. Also Christmas is a great time for Glass Painting, you can make Christmas decorations, Christmas presents and even Christmas cards.
I am assuming this will be the last newsletter for 2018 so I’d like to wish everyone who celebrates it a Merry Christmas and also all the best for everyone in the New Year. I’d also like to thank everyone for their support over the last year. Those who have asked and answered questions on Facebook or YouTube and those who are subscribed to this email list, our YouTube Channel, Facebook pages etc. I really enjoy sharing this craft with people and hearing about new ideas. It really isn’t the same without all the feedback so for that I am really grateful!
Making Decorations with Thick Waterbased Glass Paint.
In this project we show you how to make Christmas decorations with the peelable glass paints. It’s a very simple project (or can be depending on your design) so is suitable for both adults and children Having said this don’t be fooled into thinking you can’t, if you are an experienced glass painter, push it a bit further. You really can get some stunning effects with these paints. That includes doing this which aren’t possible with the flowing paints. e.g. you can do a lot more when blending two colours in the same area as you have a lot more control with these paints!
Any way if you just want to do it for a bit of fun or you want to spend your time between now and Christmas creating a masterpiece, the choice is yours!.
Glass Painted Christmas Card.
Glass painting a Christmas card isn’t always the first thing which springs to mind either for card makers or glass painters. I like this project because not only do you make a lovely card to give. but it can be taken apart and the lightcatcher kept for re-use in future years.
Other Christmas Glass Painting Projects..
Many of the projects on our site can be adapted for Christmas if you choose the right design. We also have other Christmas specific ones:
(click the pictures to view the projects).
We do have a special section for free Christmas designs but you will also find other suitable designs in our projects section.
Well we hope you enjoyed our Glass Painting Christmas Special. That’s all for this week and in fact this year. We are already looking forward to next year. We will be having the final two parts of our short glass painting course, more projects and product reviews. In addition to this we are hoping to being you a whole new selection of free designs for you to download.
Happy Crafting, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
