There’s nothing like glass painting at Christmas, well in the lead up to it anyway. We have highlighted some of the projects which should be suitable. Obviously you don’t want anything too permanent so the window and door projects are out. You can still however decorate those with glass painted window stickers! The fact is most of our other projects can be tweaked to celebrate Christmas even if it wss original a more general design.
In addition the the review of Christmas projects we also have a brand new project, a mirror. Finally we also have a short article and video on using peel offs in your glass painting.

Glass Painted Mirror.
This is quite a simple but effective design. We don’t expect you too copy it exactly. For one thing your mirror will probably be a different size. For another I expect you will want to work out your own design and your own colour scheme. Having said that the techniques used in this project are suitable for making any mirror design in this style.
Like the door and window projects this mirror is made using adhesive lead rather that outliner.
Glass Painting at Christmas.
So here are some of our existing projects which we think are (or can be with a little change to the design) suitable for making Christmas items. (click on the images to see the project).
Finally I would like to mention the Painted Jam Jars, both the Solvent and the Waterbased projects can be used to make Christmas decorations.

Using Peel Off Stickers in your Glass Painting.
It’s a bit strange because many people see this as an “easy” option, I’ve even heard the word cheating mentioned! In fact it can be rather difficult. Small Peelies are difficult to paint, larger ones difficult to apply to your work surface correctly. It does give a really nice clean line finish.
If you still think this is easy or not challenging enough then please take a look at the work of Arthur Vanson. I’ve kept my article quite simple. Arthur on the other hand has taken this technique to a whole new level. As a sign writer he has the ability to design and cut (on a machine) his own viinyl designs. Add to this some serious painting skill and colour combinations and you have works of art!
Using Peel Off Stickers in your Glass Painting.
Well that’s the end of this weeks newsletter. We will try and have at least one or maybe two more before Christmas and after that we will be taking a bit of a break.
