Glass Painting Projects and ideas.

Glass Painting Projects: Glass Painted a Window.
Glass Painting Projects: Glass Painted a Window.

This week we have two more glass painting projects and ideas for you.  There can be seen as being at either end of the glass painting scale. The Christmas glass painting project is; small, quick, simple and requires minimal materials. The window project on the other hand takes quite a lot of careful planning, certainly isn’t small and will take quite a while. Having said that the window project isn’t nexccesarily difficult to do. Take it slowly, step by step, choose designs for the panels which are within your experience level and you should end up with a great result.

Simple Christmas Lantern Project.

This is a great project, not too difficult to do but produces a really nice finished item. At this point I need to stress that this can only be used with the small battery operated night light. Never be tempted to use it with a candle!

We have made these as Christmas items but you are free to use different Christmas designs or non-Christmas designs  as you see fit. There is a blank template in the designs section to help you make your own designs.

Free Glass Painting Projects:  Designs.

Once again we have all the designs available to go with this weeks projects. This includes Christmas designs for the lamps and the 3 Kingfisher designs for the windows.

There is no need to stick to the designs we use for the projects. For example you can use any of our other designs for the window project, we have some flower ones which would suit very well. You may also be able to find other designs on the Internet. You will need to resize the images in most cases but this should be pretty easy to do with a graphics programme.

Window Project.

On the face of it this can look like a difficult project but with careful planning it should be achievable for many. The main issue is we can only show you the techniques involved. You will need to adapt the project to suit the size of your window and your favoured theme and colour scheme.  Please don’t skip the planning. I know it’s tempting to dive into the fun stuff but you don’t want to get to fitting the last panel and find you don’t have enough space or adhesive lead!

Well that is the end of this weeks newsletter. In the next we will have a review of “AquaGlass” pints. We also intend to do a couple more Christmas projects over the next couple of issues and will be doing our first mirror for a long time!

Happy Crafting.

Yours, Bob.
