This we we have a project with more glass painted Christmas decorations. Once again these can be very easy to make depending on which designs you choose. We also have a paint review. We haven’t done one of these for quite a while but you do intend to carry on doing them when we can.
It would seem like a good time to remind you that we have quite a few Christmas designs available on the site. In fact we have added quite a few in the last week or so to go with the latest project.

Glass Painted Christmas Decorations.
These are very simple glass painted Christmas decorations. Made in different sizes the can be used for different purposes. Small ones can be used as hanging ornaments on Christmas trees. Larger ons can be used as sun catchers in the window and other large ones can be used as hanging decorations (maybe hanging in front of a window to catch the light).
In our project we have used the thick glass painting film which we have for sale on the site (only for sale in the UK I’m afraid). If you don’t have this then you should find a replacement. You need to be able to cut it with scissors, it needs to be strong enough to hold it’s shape and of course it should react badly when you use paints on it.

Christmas Glass Painting Designs.
We have quite a few Christmas designs available, we have even added more in the last couple of weeks for the new project above. There are all in a separate part of the free designs section. Remember you don’t have to use the designs as we intend. You can mix and match then, make suncatchers into Christmas tree decorations and visa versa.

AquaGlass Glass Paints Review.
We’ve done a review of AquaGlass Paints made by DoCrafts. In fact we reviewed both the paints and the outliner as they both came in the set we purchased. AquaGlass is a flowing waterbased paint used for general glass painting. It’s a bit of a mixed review but I’ll leave you to read it for the detail!
AquaGlass Glass Paints Review.
Well that’s it for this week. We have some great content coming up for you over the next few months. We have decided to get a little more structure with our content. In addition to the normal projects and product reviews we will be releasing a short(ish) series or articles/videos which will basically be a glass painting course. It will start with a general introduction to glass painting followed by beginners help for outlining and painting. Following that we will move on to special and advanced techniques.
Firstly, many thanks for all the very informative and interesting materials and advice. I had been interested in painting glass for sometime and as a result of your newsletters and information will be taking up the craft and completing a project I have planned for years.
Once again thank you for introducing me to the craft of glass painting.
Kind regards
David
Oh thats really nice to hear. Many thanks for the kind comments and please do let us know how the project goes.
