2 New Glass Painting Projects.

Well this week we have 2 new glass painting projects. The first has 3 more ways of glass painting jam jars / mason jars. This time with solvent based paint. The second is something a little different, a mobile (the sort you hang up, not the sort you talk into!).  You will see from the images that our demo piece is a space themed mobile but you can do any design you wish.

I need to apologize about the “unsubscribe” link in the last newsletter, it didn’t work. Hopefully we have sorted that this time and if you wish to unsubscribe you should be able to just click the link at the bottom of this email. (We hope you chose not to but we really don’t want to keep anyone anyone on the list against their will!).

Glass Painting Jam Jars and Mason Jars.

We did a project based on this theme last time which used the thick waterbased paint, this time we use solvent based flowing paints. (but the same techniques would suit flowing waterbased paints). There are three different techniques / sub projects so hopefully everyone will find at least one they like.

Glass Painting Films for Sale.

As you know we have been selling the adhesive glass painting film for the last few weeks. We have only been able to make it available in the UK but it seems to have gone down well. We have now added to more films to the range, a thick one and an Ex-Thick one, both non-adhesive. All are now available for people in the UK in our shop section.  If you would like to try all the films there is a page which does a special offer when buying a mixture of packs.

These non-adhesive films can be painted on like glass but can also be cut with scissors , bent and drilled.

I would like to look into the possibility of selling these film outside of the UK. In the first instance in the USA/Canada. If you live in one of these countries and are particularly interested in the films please contact me and I would be willing to look at the price of postage and see if it a viable option.

Glass Painted Mobile Project.

Well this is something a little different, a glass painted mobile project. The example one we have done is a child’s space mobile but you can basically do any design you want. In our designs section (projects) you will find we have added designs for the space mobile, a Christmas mobile and one featuring hot air balloons. You can of course design your own.

This project uses both our thick and ex-thick films. If you can’t get hold of these there should be other clear plastics available which you can use, obviously it needs to be cut-able and hold it’s shade. (and be farily strong in the case of the hanger). You also need to ensure it doesn’t react to the paints. It is quite possible that you may be able to recycle some clear packaging materials for this project!

Well that is the end of this particular newsletter, we hope you like the 2 New Glass Painting Projects. We do have lots coming up for you over the next few months. I’d really really like to get at least the first part of my front door project project completed by the next newsletter. I realise that I have been talking about this for months (years?) but honestly I am ready to go with this as soon as I can get some quiet time in the house! We are also going to have a small spate of clock projects coming up (made possible now we have access to Ex-Thiick film again). Apart from being nice projects they could also make some nice Christmas presents!

Happy Crafting.

Yours, Bob.
