Glass Painting Clocks and Doors.
Well this week we look at both glass painting clocks and doors. The clocks project is probably suitable for a beginner but the door project does assume that you can already do basic glass painting.
The door project has been a long time coming. It’s months or rather years ago that I first started planning it. It’s true that the planning is perhaps the most important stage but it really shouldn’t take that long! Having said that I am rather pleased with the result. I have no doubt your doors / windows / internal glass will be a different size to mine but the same techniques can be adapted for all sizes. The same applies to the design. I’m sure many of you would prefer to see birds or flowers etc in the panels.
Glass Painted Clocks.

We’ve done two different sorts of clocks, one for mounting on a wall and a free standing one. Like many of the projects we expect most of you to adapt it and use designs which are suitable for you or the person you intend to give it too. Just about any theme can be covered by a glass painted clock, from flowers to football, dogs to dodgem cars. The project includes both written instructions and a video.
Free Designs.
Quite a few of the designs used this week we are unable to give you as they are covered by copyright. We do however have a couple of clock designs plus 2 blank clock templates which you can use as a basis for your own designs. All of these will be found in our Project Designs section.

Glass Painting a Door. (or a window).
My long awaited door project. In this project I use self adhesive glass painting film BUT I do also explain how you can do the project without it. In addition to that it also uses adhesive coloured transparent glass fil and adhsive lead both of which you should find in a DIY shop or online. I hope you agree that the finished item looks rather good (even if you prefer something different in the center panels). Once again you will find both written instructions and a video on the project page.

Online Shop For those in the UK.
Our online shop now has 3 types of glass painting films in it. The Adhesive plus both the Thick and the Extra Thick. We will be adding other items as we go. For the moment we will be concentrating on items used in glass painting which are difficult to get hold off else where.

Well that brings us to the end of this weeks newsletter. Up coming projects will include Glass Painting a window, this time NOT using self adhesive film. The design will also be something a bit more “traditional”! We will also have a couple more paint reviews and 2 or three Christmas themed projects.
Yours
Bob
