Making and Using Peelable Glass Paint.

This weeks newsletter is dedicated to making and using peelable glass paint. Thats the type of glass paint which is used to make window stickers (Peelies as they are sometimes called).

Peelable glass paints (with maybe the exception of Gallery Glass Paint) are often seen as the “poor relation” in glass painting, the children’s paint which real glass painters don’t bother with. The reality is you can produced some fantastic work with peelable glass paints. Perfect for Christmas decorations, other celebrations or just reaching those parts which other glass paints can’t. You don’t even have to limit yourself to windows. They are equally at home on tiles, vases, mirrors and other non-porous surfaces.

Using Peelable Glass Paints on Windows and tiles etc.

Our first article covers how to use Peelable Glass Paints. The make or brand of the paints isn’t really important as they are all basically thick waterbased paints. This article includes a video, written instructions and photographs. Beginners should find it useful as it takes you right through the process of making a peelie. If you have done this before you may still get some ideas from our techniques.

More Free Glass Painting Designs.

We’ve added quite a few new designs to the site over the last couple od weeks most notably in the animals section. Some are brand new, others are ones which were on the old version of this site but were never uploaded to this newer version (no idea why).

We do intend to rebuild the designs section in the not too distant future. As the number of free designs grow we think it’s important to have a gallery which enables you to find and download designs quickly and is searchable.

Homemade Peelable Glass Paint.

I’m sure some of you will like this idea whilst others will rather save the effort and go and buy ready made peelable glass paint. I now use a lot of home made paints. They are cheaper, I can make up the exact colours I want and I can make them the exact consistency I need. Again the article has a video, written instructions and photos.

All of the examples in this newsletter have been created using the homemade paint
